Pearl Treatment Centres is available to treat patients in cases of a dental emergency. Our Dublin 2 clinic makes every effort possible to see and treat patients who have suffered a dental injury, or who are in considerable pain due to a toothache.
If a tooth has been knocked out we urge patients to get in contact with our Dublin 2 clinic as soon as possible. The sooner a knocked-out tooth is re-implanted, the more likely it is to fix itself back into the patient’s gum.
What patients should do immediately following a tooth being knocked out:
Rinse the tooth in milk. The tooth should be always held by the crown; avoiding contact with the roots
If at all possible the tooth should be re-implanted into the socket
If a re-implantation is impossible, the tooth should be stored in a clean container and soaked in milk or the patient’s saliva
Any damage inflicted upon a tooth should be treated by a dentist as soon as possible.
Cracks or chips can have a detrimental effect on the living tissue within a tooth, causing problems in the future.
